About Household Finance Corporation -Revolving Lending & Conversions ( HFC/RL).

Create and support business applications that handle household’s Consumer Finance Revolving Lending accounts customers who have to refinance loans over a period of time.
Keep data on customers pertaining to demographics, income, risk factor profile,
Process data to determine customer’s creditworthiness.
Handle Conversion Accounts for businesses that Household buys, such as Beneficial
Also handles accounts that Household packages to sell off to other companies, other business units that may not be profitable.

How does HFC/RL work with other HFC Groups?

Credit Risk Management - Currently testing a Credit Management System 'in-house' program called TRIAD, with other HFC groups that will enable our systems update and maintain more accurate records of customer accounts.

Provide support to other Household HFC Units, such as Closed-End (CE) Lending, Tracker, Closed -End (fixed period lending) Due to the need to assess risk before making out loans or acquiring new businesses,

Automatic Credit line Increases, decreases

Develop Profile based on Customer’s payment behavior

Conversion Accounts - Different businesses have different systems, proprietary programs that may need to be reformatted to work with household’s system.

Records must be up to-date for these acquired accounts in case legal inquires are sought and for management reports.

Account reconciliation: When a new business is bought, we need to be able to run account updates on new accounts HFC has inherited, send periodic statements, and prospect for new business or relationship with a customer who may be interested in other Household products.

The Role I played

Compiled a report on APCDOC to determine jobs that were supported by our Group, to enable accurate support contact

Performed cycle updates on Promotion Accounts - changing the dates and Amounts in TSO/ISPF

Searched TSO/ISPF JOB, PROC, Changeman & Panvalet Libraries, for documentation in Cobol language programs and documented fields created after the Beneficial Conversion for reference project files in Lotus Notes.
