Welcome to my home on the web. My name is Richard. This section of my webpage is focused on work and career experiences.
I began my career as a systems analyst in the Information Technology (IT) field and worked on various "Application Solutions" initiatives before taking on a core business analyst role. Since 1999, and prior to becoming a contract consultant, my experience included working on several multi-million dollar process improvement and merger-restructure initiatives as an analyst with top US 200 companies, including Household International, Ernst & Young, Verizon Communications (former GTE), Cingular Wireless, USAA including a remote-publishing project, in West Africa.
I am currently working on a major telecom initiative to significantly reduce costs and achieving aggressive flow-through targets while managing the convergence of multiple sets of systems in the ordering, provisioning, and test and turn-up space.
Key strengths: facilitating requirements sessions with business SMEs, documentation of business and technical requirements, business case justification & analysis.
Other experience: planning & support for application design, data analysis, defect management, change management, end-to-end requirements management automation. Training document preparation and Quality Center Management activities with the QA teams and business users.
